Sleep

Hi

Just a short one , I just realised yesterday when watching someone sleeping , that you are awake for a day and you look forward to going to bed and having a sleep . I don’t sleep so my days are seeming less important because there’s no sleep at the end , just seems like one day melts into another and now there’s no real difference just one long week , month with no gaps in between ! So my question is what’s the point in days without nights …. There’s none is there !

  1. Could you try a sleep hygiene routine? No matter how a rough night always set the alarm really early – even Sat and Sundays. Seen programme on it for people who were really struggling including night terrors. Maybe ask Matt to check it out (he loves doing things like that). After 6 weeks it really helped. Could you do a little task list – write it down in prep for the next day so you can have a focus? And it doesn’t matter if you don’t achieve it you can save it for another day. I can identify a little bit with how the days slip. For a couple of years I didn’t work much due to ill health and being made redundant. I went to bed later and later, got up later, napped in the day too much (although I still do love a cheeky nap). Felt miserable, self medicated with vino. Worried about money. What I’m trying to say (badly) is that I wasn’t going through anything like you but I didn’t look after myself well and that alone didn’t help my mental wellbeing. Thanks hope you find some peace. Xx 😘
